Back To School. Are You Ready?

Back To School. Are You Ready?

Though we home school, there is still the need to be ready when school starts.  With the economy such as it is, schools can’t supply everything they once did.  I don’t remember notes home when I was a kid, for my parents to commit to sending a box of crayons this week, let alone a box of kleenex the next.

I’ve heard from so many parents, wanting to know what it is that their child will need, or expected to have when they go back to school.  Schools aren’t sending out the “need” lists like they used to, and the needs that were once a given, are now changing to adapt to the never-ending cutbacks.

With that in mind, I’ve compiled a list of items that will help you and your child be prepared for the first day of school.

Here’s the list

Balsamic Steak Marinade

As promised, this week is about continuing those great memories through the close of summer.  Now my hubby loves marinades, so I’m guessing that other people do too.

Here’s a great marinade.  And honestly!  It just doesn’t get any easier than this one right here.

Three Cheese Italian Style Chicken Rigatoni

Well it’s that time of year again.  School is gearing up for most of the kids, and summer is coming to an end.  But there’s no need to put away the grill just yet!  There’s still plenty of warm weather, and plenty of family gatherings to share before summer comes to a close.

Here’s is a great recipe that has been around the table at our house a couple thousand times.  I’d like to share it with you, in the spirit of keeping those summer memories coming on strong.
